Interior Expressions by Design is a Retail Home Decor, Apparel and Gift Store located at 1100 Long Pond Road in Greece.

Owned and operated for the past five years by Jim and Barb Miller, the Interior Expressions by Design shopping experience is one-of-a-kind. “We focus on customer service,” Barb Miller says, “I search for unique merchandise that is not found other places.” The Millers traveled to several Gift Shows seeking out new merchandise for the upcoming Holiday shopping season. Barb says she is always excited about the Holiday Season and that it is a focus while purchasing for the shop. In addition to new Holiday merchandise, other Gift Show purchases include Fashions, Accessories, Handbags, Scarfs, Gift Items, Home Decor and more. They also have a wonderful selection of candles, prints, rugs, textiles, florals, lighted canvases, signs, pottery and much more. “Everything to make your house a home.”

Interior Expressions by Design also carries Hallagan Fine Furniture (Made locally in Newark, New York) available as a custom order in over 300 frames and 700 fabrics, a wide selection of Amish made wood furniture in many styles, colors and finishes, Simply Noelle Clothing and much more. The store is 2,000 square feet of frequently changing merchandise full of inspiration for self, home and gift giving.

The Miller’s Greece store began after a short retirement from 21 years at the Apple Tree in Brockport. Barb says, “Retirement didn’t agree with me and I felt I could offer the residents of Greece and beyond an alternative to the big box stores. I plan to continue to extend exceptional customer service, unique merchandise choices and great price points to all my customers.”

442a68e3ff6f94617066ca5fd541f006Each year, Jim and Barb Miller pledge to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales on Small Business Saturday in November (2016 Small Business Saturday is November 26) to a worthy cause within the Greece Community. This year the recipient is Lily’s League, a fund set up in memory of Lillian Grace Savigny the granddaughter of one of Barb Miller’s customers who was stillborn. Lily’s League is raising money to purchase a Cuddle Cot for Unity Hospital’s August Family Birth Center. A Cuddle Cot is a crib-cooling device used to preserve the body of a stillborn baby in order to give the parents time to say goodbye. Counselors say that having time with the baby is crucial for parents grieving after stillbirths, time used for the family to form an important bond with their baby, and simply just staying close helps families in dealing with their loss.

In the past the response and support from the community for the Miller’s fundraising efforts on Small Business Saturday has been astounding.  “I am so thankful to all of our customers for supporting our store and our Community. Many of my customers told me they waited until that day to make their purchases, I also have many customers that donate extra money to the fund,” Barb says.

Interior Expressions by Design is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 5:30pm; Thursday 10am to 8pm.
