Greece Chamber Seeking Nominations for Outstanding Youths
The Greece Chamber of Commerce today announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 26th Annual Greece Youth Hall of Fame Awards. This program provides businesses, volunteer groups, schools and individuals with the opportunity to recognize young people in the Greece community who have demonstrated exceptional personal growth and development through their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community.
The nomination deadline is February 12, 2016. For nomination forms and additional information, contact Sue Edgett, Director of Member Services and Events at the Greece Chamber of Commerce at (585) 227-7272.
The Youth Hall of Fame recipients are selected by a committee of community representatives and will be honored at a special ceremony in May. Each nominee must be a resident of the town of Greece and enrolled in 11th or 12th grade in any regional public, parochial or charter school. The school does not need to be located in the town of Greece.
“The Greece Chamber of Commerce joins with business and community leaders in understanding the importance of recognizing and supporting young people who demonstrate exceptional positive qualities and achievements, often in the face of adversity,” said Sarah Lentini, Greece Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “We are proud to be part of this effort.”
The Youth Hall of Fame program is sponsored by the Greece Chamber of Commerce, Town of Greece, and the Greece Central School District, along with other area school districts and corporate sponsors.
