Boy Scout Troop 130 of Greece

On October 6th-8th Boy Scout Troop 130 hosted the Boy Scout Lighthouse District Fall Camporee (Theme Emergency Preparedness) at Braddocks State Park. This was a weekend camping event for the Boy Scouts.

On Saturday, October 7th, there were several Emergency Responder organizations putting on demonstrations. The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20 participated in the opening ceremony by raising the flag for the weekend.

Throughout the day on Saturday, Lakeshore Fire Department provided demonstrations of water rescues at Westpoint Marina. ARES Ham Radio Operator Club, North Greece Fire Department escape house, Ridge Road Fire Department obstacle course, Greece Volunteer Ambulance, New York State Community Emergency Response Team, Monroe County Sheri TSA K-9 and the Coast Guard Auxiliary were on site putting on demonstrations for the scouts. There were also several fun filled scout competitions including a 5 Alarm Dutch Oven cook off and a fellowship campfire in the evening.
