Greece American Legion Post #468 Commander George Dadson, Jr., the Color Guard, and other members of Legion Post #468 joined Supervisor Bill Reilich and Greece Town Officials for a special Flag Day Dedication Ceremony. The ceremony was held  on June 14, 2018 at Veteran’s Memorial Park (formally Badgerow Park North), which was renamed earlier this year in honor of the great military men and women who serve our country.

Legion Post #468 Commander George Dadson, Jr. was presented with a plaque which commemorated the 2018 Flag Day Dedication Ceremony. The Color Guard was presented with the American Flag and ceremoniously raised the flag up the flag pole at the park. A plaque was placed at the base of the flag pole, it reads: Dedicated To Our Great Veterans.

Veteran’s Memorial Park connects to Badgerow Park South on Latta Road by an extensive trail system. The 33 acre park contains tennis and basketball courts, a softball field, a multi-purpose field, a toddler playground, and an open shelter for parties. The numerous amenities make this a widely-used park in the Town of Greece. Veteran’s Memorial Park is located at 4614 Dewey Avenue, Greece.
