•Holiday Breads Baking Class

Sweeten up your table by learning to make 5 different holiday breads. Instructor Peggy Roll will demonstrate how to make a Scotch Black Bun during this baking class. Participants will make an orange flavored French Provencal Christmas Bread, a Swedish Tea Ring with almonds, a Greek bread with anise and cherries, and a German Stollen. A light noon meal will also be created by the class to enjoy. Limited to 8 participants ages 16-adult.

•Preparing for Winter

Wander through the rustic winter setting as villagers busy themselves with preparations for the coming season. Interact with the villagers as they demonstrate a variety of activities, including: candle making, spinning wool and meat preservation. Our Nature Center will be demonstrating how to carve spiles – wooden taps for harvesting maple sap from trees – as well as a 1 pm trail walk to discuss spile placement and sap harvesting. You can even complete some holiday shopping at the Flint Hill Store, featuring lovely, unique and handmade gifts! Light fare, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase inside the Banquet Center.

Admission: Adults $10. All kids (ages 17 & under) FREE! GCV&M Members FREE! (Please note that admission does not include the cost of our Crafts at Christmas program.)

•Breakfast with St. Nick

Celebrate the holiday season alongside family and friends with a tasty, all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast!

9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am & 12:00pm seating times.

Reservations are required and non-refundable.

Kids have the chance to meet St. Nick (bring your cameras!) in the museum’s beautifully decorated, holiday-themed Banquet Center.

Each child will receive a special present from St. Nick himself!

They can also write a letter to St. Nick and mail it in a special mailbox to the North Pole!

Explore the snow-covered lanes of the historic Genesee Country Museum and visit village homes bedecked in holiday splendor. Immerse yourself in the exuberance of a spirited town dance, merry singing amid a candle-lit tree, and jubilant gift-giving. You may even meet that jolly old elf, St. Nick, himself!

Please be advised that this is a 90-minute guided walking tour (rain or shine), and as such it is not recommended for people with walking difficulties or infants (strollers are not allowed).
