OFC Creations’ ROC Summer Theatre Experience is unlike any theatre summer camp program in Upstate New York. Featuring a diverse staff of professional artists, campers will have a fun, engaging, and professional experience that will make you feel part of the family.

OFC Creations #1 focus is on camper and parent experience – YOU will be more than just a camper or audience member, you will be part of the magic that is only in the performing arts!

Additional exclusive camper opportunities will be announced closer to summer, including: singing at the Rochester Red Wings game, pre-camp Zumba classes, Food Truck Fridays, master classes and workshops, and much more! Open to ages 4-18, please note we cap our camps and space will go quickly!

Campers can register for ROC Summer Theatre Experience in any (or all) of our three 2019 locations.

Summer Camps: Ages 4-7

Focusing on skills in acting, singing, and dance- instructors will lead campers in learning a short 12-15 minute full stage production. Campers will be introduced to costumes, sets, props, and more all while having fun on stage! Each camper is guaranteed a role in the show. Perfect for kids coming out of their shell or for those ready to take centerstage and hit their spotlight!

Our Summer Kids Theatre Program provides your child an opportunity to push his/her creative boundaries. Your child will be introduced to every aspect of the theatre, including singing, dancing, acting, back stage, costuming, props, & technical theatre, receiving the most well-rounded theatre experience. Camps start EVERY week for this age group!

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. With many fun supporting roles allowing students to play objects inside the castle, this “tale as old as time” is fun for all ages!

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course… sharing snacks. Filled with all of their favorite characters, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a favorite for children to perform. Perfect for beginners!

Little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as the show stopping orphans, servants, and tourists, Annie JR. is the top pick for summer 19!

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians, and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. Join in… we’re all in this together!

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task – if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

This classic tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations. Join Dorothy and her friends as they follow the yellow brick road in meeting the Wizard of Oz! Featuring songs like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “If I Only Had A Brain” and more. Perfect for new, returning, and well-rounded theatre performers.

In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables School Edition packs an emotional wallop that has thrilled audiences all over the world.

Featuring the rag tag bunch of “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies,” performers will evoke the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical! Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new goody girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances their way through hit songs like “Greased Lightnin’,” “Born to Hand Jive,” “You’re the One that I Want,” and “We Go Together” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley that made Grease known as one of the most popular musicals.

Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right! Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken.

But, when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and idealistic waitress whom he enlists to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits, she rewrites the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion. Filled with impressive songs, an unexpected love affair and a genuine and charming soul, Dogfight is a unique piece for all audience members.
