Eagle Scouts Alexander DeHoney, Jacob Biel, Deven Ebertz are joined by family members and members of the Greece Town Board.

The Town of Greece held an official Eagle Scout Medal and Proclamation Presentation Ceremony on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Town Board Meeting. The Town of Greece Eagle Scout Recognition Medal and Proclamation is presented to all Boy Scouts who have recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in their local troop. 

 Medals were given to Jacob Biel of Scout Troop Number 197 on his achievement of Eagle Scout ranking through his efforts in repairing the fences and replenishing new mulch on the playground at Frisbee Hill Park in the Town of Greece. To Alexander DeHoney of Scout Troop Number 48 on his achievement of Eagle Scout Ranking through a project in constructing eight library book returns to be placed to be placed in the Greece Middle and High Schools. And to Deven Ebertz of Scout Troop Number 195 on his achievement of Eagle Scout Ranking through his efforts in constructing an “Armed Services Commemorative Commons” at the main entrance of Greece Arcadia High School which is dedicated to the alumni who have served our country. 

“It is an honor for me to be able to present medals to these hard working and determined young men who have shown that commitment and perseverance lead to success,”  Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich said. 

The Boy Scouts of America, one of the United States largest youth organizations, is dedicated to promoting self-reliance, courage, and patriotism among young men. The Eagle Scout Award is attained after countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication to the scouting creed.
