Final Weekend For Treasure Island

Sixteen-year-old Jim Hawkins sets his course for adventure to find secret treasure with Doctor Livesay and Squire Trelawney. They quickly decide to outfit a ship—the Hispaniola—and travel the sea. Aboard ship, Jim meets Long John Silver, who befriends him. But Jim quickly learns who Long John really is and what his plans are. Once the ship anchors at Treasure Island the pirates turn on Jim and his companions. Jim takes on the responsibility to save the ship and his shipmates to secure that treasure!

Hunter Ekberg, a staple performer for RAPA Family Theatre, returns as the memorable character, Long John Silver. By his side is Hayden Levine as Jim Hawkins. Rounding out the cast are Chip Attwood, Kathy Cughenour, Vince Dalba, Rat Rina Davis, Billy DeMetsenaere, Lois Fiegl, Tina Hoffman, Austin Scott, and Jeanette Gruttadauria under the direction of Marge Mattioli.

All performances are approximately one hour in length plus a short intermission. As always, children can “Meet the Characters” after each performance, with photo opportunities, autographs, and special moments.

This year, RAPA Family Theatre has developed a Sensory Friendly Performance program specifically geared towards audience members with autism and special needs. Treasure Island’s sensory friendly performance is on Sunday, May 6 at 4:30P.M. Details on this program can be found online at
