Greece Family Dentistry & Implantology is offering free smiles to anyone who does not currently have dental insurance and needs dental treatment. They will host the 2nd Annual Dentistry From The Heart free dental day and join with local volunteers and sponsors to serve people in need of fillings, extractions and cleanings.

Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) is a registered national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a dentist in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured. To date, DFTH has helped over 300,000 patients and provided over $7 million dollars in dental care to patients across the country.

“Now more than ever, I know there are people out there that need dental care, but have no means to afford treatment – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. This Dentistry From The Heart event is our way of caring for our community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental treatment,” said Dr. Oliver Cabrera, DDS.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Greece Family Dentistry & Implantology, 120 Erie Canal Drive, Rochester. Starting at 8:00AM, staff and volunteers will treat the first 100 patients, or however many they can serve by 4PM. People will be seen on a first come, first served basis. It is suggested to arrive early, dress appropriately for the weather and to bring chairs, blankets, water and snacks to prepare for possible waiting outside to be seen.
