Ripples of Wellness Program

By on October 24, 2019

Ripples of Wellness is a free program at Messiah Lutheran Church designed to introduce participants to the wide variety of wellness resources in the Rochester Community and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Each month speakers will differ and new offerings may be added to our information tables. Samplings of Genesee Valley’s seasonal bounty will always be available. Blood pressure screening as well as computer assistance will be among the staples. Ripples of Wellness is not a religious based program or ministry, however, private spiritual guidance and prayer will be available from the ELCA pastor of Messiah Lutheran.

All are welcome to attend our Health Fair Kick-Off on October 23, 2019 at 10:00AM. The opening celebration features

Lonnie Fynskov, RN from Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN. She will speak and guide participants in stress management techniques. Lonnie began her career at the Mayo Clinic as an inpatient nurse on a general surgery floor but has worked for the last 20 years as an educator in the Steven & Barbara Slaggie Family Cancer Education Center at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Ann Knapp, a certified New York practitioner in the art of Natural Energy Wellness will discuss how our bodies own energy can be harnessed for natural healing. Private Sessions, at no cost, will be available. Wegmans will also be present to provide flu shots. Please bring your insurance card.

Messiah Lutheran Church is located at the corner of Mt. Read Blvd. and English Rd. in the town of Greece. Activities will take place on a designated Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. For more information call the church office at 865-1866.
