The Trojans entered the sectionals undefeated this season after facing challenges against difficult opponents, providing several “upsets” during the season.

The team was led by an outstanding offense fueled by seniors Quarterback Ta’von Granison, Running Back Thaj Avies and Receivers Dyle Benham and Kenny Speed. They were supported by a strong offensive line and a defense led by Johnny Johnson who once recorded 18 tackles in a single game. Special Teams excelled with Damien Mousso who was consistent in kicking field goals.

The team soared through the playoffs securing the schools first Section V football title in 35 years with a win over Brighton (35-14) at Sahlen Stadium in Rochester on November 4th.

In a hard fought game Greece Athena Football fell to Somers Tuskers, 25-17 in the Class A State Final held November 25th at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome.
