From the Supervisor – January 2016
I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season. The unseasonably warm weather this past December has enabled the Department of Public Works to conserve our supply of road salt and also given more time for our DPW crews to continue work on drainage projects, sewer repairs and road maintenance. For further information regarding winter services provided by the Town, please visit our website, greeceny.gov.
We have a lot to look forward to in the coming year, and I am excited to share our vision for 2016. At this time last year, the new Greece Police headquarters was in its early planning stages. Within just a few short weeks, we will break ground to provide our law enforcement a much needed new facility. Other renovations that will begin shortly include the restrooms at Badgerow Park North and Badgerow Park South.
Additionally, the pickle ball courts on the Greece Town Hall campus have been converted into an ice skating rink for the winter months. The hours of operation for the rink are Monday thru Friday 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday. Remember, you can follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/TownOfGreece) and on Twitter (@GreeceTown) for event updates and other Town related news.
As always, I enjoy hearing feedback from residents about programming and other town related issues. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
