From The Supervisor – November 2016
A season we all know very well here in Western New York is Fall. While the changing of the leaves is great for pictures and other outdoor fall activities, clean up can be laborious. That is why the Town is pleased to offer every fall season, leaf curb side pickup. Leaf collection will occur through December 9th. If you are unaware of the leaf pick-up schedule please visit our town’s website www.greeceny.gov and under the residents tab at the top right corner of the screen click leaf/brush pick- up for the full schedule and collection map. As a side note, leaf bags must be out at the curb the day before your assigned pick up to avoid your house being missed during this collection process.
Recently, the Town held a ribbon cutting for the newly constructed Braddock Bay Lodge. Located at the heart of Braddock Bay Park, the new lodge comes complete with a full chef’s kitchen including sink, range, microwave and refrigerator, tables and chairs that can seat up to 99 guests, as well as a covered and open porch. Lodge 1 is conveniently situated among plenty of open space which includes a playground, walking trails, hawk watch and stunning views of Braddock Bay. Reservations for the new lodge, in addition to current town lodges, can be completed online or in person at the Greece Community Center. Please call 723-2425 or visit www.greeceny.gov for details and reservations.
On a final note, mark your calendars for our Town’s Annual Family Halloween Party at the Community and Senior Center, Friday October 28th from 6:00pm till 8:00pm. The event will feature a haunted house, games, crafts, DJ “Rockin Rick” dance party, and pizza. For more information regarding this event please contact our town’s community and senior center for more information.
