From the Supervisor – February 2017

By on February 2, 2017

I hope everyone is staying safe and warm as we battle through another western New York winter season. I would like to remind residents to allow for extra travel time during their commute, and to be mindful of weather warnings.

If you’re interested in learning about 3D printer technology, there are lots of opportunities right here in Greece at the main branch of our library. Orientation and certification sessions for the library’s Ultimaker 3D printer are offered monthly, and on February 21 library staff will offer a “Designing a 3D Pendant” class where you can learn the basics of using Tinker CAD 3D modeling software. For more information about 3D printing or to register for a class, contact the Library at 225-8951.

For a second year in a row, we have opened our Greece Town Hall Ice Rink. The rink, located at the pickle ball courts, provides residents with the opportunity for some great outdoor activity with family and friends during these winter months. The rink is free for all Greece residents and $1 for non-residents. The next time you’re in need for some fun outdoor activity, stop by Town Hall and check out the new rink. Additionally, Tuesday February 14th our great staff at the Community and Senior Center will be hosting our annual Senior Valentine’s Day party. For more information on this event and other Community and Senior Center events please call 723-2425. Remember, you can now follow us on Twitter (@GreeceTown) and Facebook for event updates and other Town related news in addition to checking our website.

As always, I enjoy hearing feedback from residents about programming and other town related issues. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
