November has always been a time to look back and reflect on what we are thankful for. With the holidays just around the corner, I would like to wish everyone a very safe and happy Thanksgiving and Christmas season!

As the snow begins to make its way to the area, I would like to remind residents about our Winter Parking Ordinance. There will be no parking allowed on any town roads or grass rights-of-way from November 1st until April 15th between midnight and 8:00AM. This allows for safer and more effective plowing and salting of dedicated town streets and helps keep the cost of snow removal down, saving tax dollars for residents.

Here in the Town of Greece, we recently held the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, where residents could drop off products and materials safely at the convenient location of the Greece Highway Garage. Thank you to all of our Town Board members for helping out at this event! This season, we held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of My Wine and Cheese Bar, owned by Michele Suhr. Check it out at 3208 Latta Road!

Be sure to mark your calendars for our annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Family Christmas Party on December 7th. The event will begin at 5:45pm with Christmas carols and the official tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:15pm at the outdoor pavilion on the Greece Town Hall Campus. The Family Christmas Party will begin afterwards and will run until 8:00pm. Please join us for this festive time of holiday performances, Santa, crafts, and treats.

As always, I enjoy hearing feedback from residents about programming and other Town-related matters. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office or visit our website. Keep on the look-out for additional details regarding town sponsored events and news on my Facebook page: Bill Reilich Greece Town Supervisor.
